The article aims to understand the discussions of studies on Strategic Management and Project Management.
Relevance / originality
The different discussions of studies on Strategy Management and Project Management are demonstrated, it is hoped that this article will contribute to the debate on the theme strategy and project management.
Methodology / approach
From a qualitative approach, an exploratory research was carried out, based on the systematic literature review method. The aim was to understand the discussions of studies on Strategy Management and Project Management.
Main results
The main results are evidenced from the understanding of Strategy Management and Project Management, the increase in competitiveness and success of the project. The projects need to be developed, aiming to develop environments that provide the development of the strategy.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The main theoretical contribution of this study is related to the involvement of project management and strategy themes. Projects can be used strategically to provide development, and consequently, contribute to the success of projects.
Social / management contributions
The contribution to practice/management is given by understanding how project management should be fostered within organizations to become a strategic factor and contribute to the success of projects.
