Resumo

Os seres humanos são animais sociais, necessitam pertencer socialmente, em grupos sociais diversos. O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a estrutura intelectual do tema isolamento social na área das ciências sociais aplicadas.

O isolamento social é diretamente relacionado com a baixa qualidade de vida dos indivíduos, afetando seu humor, estes se sentem ansiosos, zangados e têm reações negativas. Até o momento da submissão deste artigo, não foi encontrada nenhuma pesquisa bibliométrica com este tema.

A bibliometria foi escolhida para esta pesquisa, pois, é adequada para responder às questões de pesquisa estabelecidas. Explorando os principais autores, periódicos, literatura recomendada, tópicos e sugerir avenidas para pesquisas futuras sobre isolamento social, foram feitas as análises de citação e pareamento.

Os resultados são divididos entre a análise de citação que é um resultado mais objetivo e descritivo, a análise de pareamento que indica a formação dos fatores sob o tema isolamento social, e a análise qualitativa que decorre da composição dos fatores.

Os resultados desta pesquisa contribuem para a literatura de isolamento social, apresentando os autores e periódicos expoentes, uma lista da literatura sugerida para a consulta de pesquisadores que querem ingressar no tema, além de orientações para pesquisas futuras sobre o isolamento social.

Human beings are social animals, they need to belong socially, in different social groups. The objective of this research is to analyse the intellectual structure of the social isolation theme in the field of applied social sciences.

Social isolation is directly related to the low quality of life of individuals, affecting their mood, they feel anxious, angry and have negative reactions. At the time of submission of this article, no bibliometric research on this topic was found.

Bibliometrics was chosen for this research as it is adequate to answer established research questions. Exploring the main authors, journals, recommended literature, topics and suggesting avenues for future research on social isolation, citation and bibliographic coupling analyses were performed.

The results are divided between citation analysis, which is a more objective and descriptive result, pairing analysis that indicates the formation of factors under the social isolation theme, and qualitative analysis that results from the composition of the factors.

The results of this research contribute to the literature on social isolation, presenting leading authors and journals, a list of literature suggested for consultation by researchers who want to enter the subject, as well as guidelines for future research on social isolation.
