Resumo

A pandemia do coronavírus causou significativas transformações no processo de relacionamento entre clientes e organizações. Este estudo objetiva entender os impactos sobre o comportamento de consumo, frente a pandemia da COVID-19, a partir da Teoria Comportamental. Para isso foi elaborado um questionário com 17 questões no modelo de Escala Likert, dividido em quatro categorias para atender a cada uma das quatro hipóteses formuladas. O questionário foi aplicado a 481 participantes, e os resultados mostram que o comportamento do consumidor foi impactado pela pandemia, fazendo que sejam mais racionais e menos influenciáveis pelo ambiente externo, justamente o ponto tocante a Teoria Comportamental. De forma geral pode-se inferir que o cliente tem se comportado de forma mais prudente em relação ao consumo devido ao cenário econômico incerto causado pelo coronavírus.

Coronavirus pandemic has impacted the relationship between organizations and consumers. Consumers are changing their way of consuming in a scenario of social isolation.This research aims to understand the new consumption behavior from the Behavioral Theory. Therefore, a questionnaire with 17 questions was elaborated on the Likert Scale model, divided into four categories to meet each of the four hypotheses formulated. The questionnaire was applied to 481 participants, and the results show that consumer behavior was impacted by the pandemic, making them more rational and less influenced by the external environment, precisely the point regarding Behavioral Theory. In general, it can be inferred that the consumer has behaved more prudently in relation to consumption due to the uncertain economic scenario caused by the coronavirus.
