Study goals
This article aims to identify attributes that may contribute to the development of an agile portfolio management process roadmap for information and communication technology projects in federal public universities.
Relevance / originality
The research fills a gap in the field of agile management of ICT project portfolios in federal public universities.
Methodology / approach
A literature review was conducted on the Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO and CAPES databases; the selection and filtering of articles were based on the PRISMA-P protocol.
Main results
Fourteen attributes were identified for the creation of an ideal roadmap geared towards the ICT sector in public universities. In addition, it is suggested to construct a roadmap composed of five main stages and other adjacent ones, encompassing the entire process.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The study presents attributes and stages for the conception of an agile project portfolio management roadmap based on scientific literature.
Social / management contributions
Provides guidelines for federal public universities to improve efficiency in the management of information and communication technology project portfolios.
