Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho é apontar quais são as oportunidades e desafios para a implementação de projetos de Indústria 4 0 na indústria farmacêutica.

Embora seja possível encontrar outros estudos sobre Indústria 4.0 na indústria em geral, são escassos os estudos que abordam as oportunidades e desafios para a implementação de projetos de Indústria 4.0 na indústria farmacêutica.

Explorou-se a literatura acadêmica, a fim de identificar as oportunidades e desafios na implementação de projetos da indústria 4 0 na indústria manufatureira em geral. A partir dessa identificação foram realizadas entrevistas com especialistas da indústria farmacêutica.

A pesquisa confirmou a aderência das oportunidades da indústria em geral ao setor farmacêutico. No entanto, os desafios mostraram uma alta discordância e baixa aderência, não se alinhando com as expectativas.

Este artigo traz contribuições relevantes a respeito da implementação de projetos de Indústria 4.0 na indústria farmacêutica, auxiliando os gestores e tomadores de decisão desta área.

A indústria farmacêutica ocupa um lugar de destaque na economia global devido ao considerável impacto que tem no bem-estar social. Melhorar o acesso a medicamentos é uma responsabilidade das indústrias farmacêuticas. Assim pesquisas nessa área altamente relevantes.

The objective of this work is to identify the opportunities and challenges for the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

While it is possible to find other studies on Industry 4.0 in the general industry, there is a scarcity of research addressing the opportunities and challenges for the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

The academic literature was explored to identify the opportunities and challenges in the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects in the manufacturing industry in general. Based on this identification, interviews were conducted with experts from the pharmaceutical industry.

The research confirmed the alignment of opportunities from the general industry with the pharmaceutical sector. However, the challenges exhibited significant disagreement and low alignment, not matching the expectations.

This article provides valuable contributions regarding the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects in the pharmaceutical industry, assisting managers and decision-makers in this field.

The pharmaceutical industry holds a prominent position in the global economy due to its significant impact on social well-being. Improving access to medicines is a responsibility of pharmaceutical companies, making research in this area highly relevant.
