Study goals
The purpose of this article is to identify the relationship between Digital Transformation and Leadership in the business context through a systematic review.
Relevance / originality
It is necessary that organizations are focused on this new reality and that they can increasingly provide their employees with skills in this area. Organizational leaders know that digital transformation and workforce transformation are interlinked (Eden et al., 2019).
Methodology / approach
A systematic review is presented on this topic with searches performed in the Scopus tool filtered by the terms in English: "Digital Transformation" and "leadership" or "Management Business" 214 initial results were obtained that passed the inclusion (only articles) and exclusion criteria
Main results
The relationship between digital transformation and leadership was perceived in several aspects, the most relevant being digital and strategic leadership; artificial intelligence and virtual structure; the skills, abilities and skills to lead; aspects of organizational culture and management
Theoretical / methodological contributions
Although the digital transformation is in full expansion influenced by market, competitiveness and sustainability requirements, the research identified scientific attempts to extract the profile and competences of the Digital Leader, in an attempt to create models of skills and attributions.
Social / management contributions
Although the theme is considered a latent theme in the organizational context, there is a growing trend in publications and a vast opportunity for research development in the scientific community is seen.
