Study goals
To analyze how the project “Na Rota da Sustentabilidade” has applied creative economy concepts during its period of operation in the State of Santa Catarina, specifically identifying the application of the guiding principles of Creative Economy in Brazil.
Relevance / originality
The creative economic focused on sustainable tourism emerges as a business alternative, showing knowledge, creativity and culture as generate innovation and social inclusion, and it is possible to apply it in areas of great development potential.
Methodology / approach
In relation to the objectives, it is considered an exploratory methodology; as to the approach, it is classified as qualitative, and the technique used to collect data was documentary bibliographic research, based on the reports and trips described on the project's website.
Main results
The creative economy as an income generator in the area of sustainable tourism was observed, framing them within the four guiding principles, and the demand for these destinations is not due to the monetary value, but to the sustainable experience provided.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
As a theoretical contribution, it is possible to identify the theoretical referential in the study of the project applied in practice, and to extend the analysis to all the sites visited.
Social / management contributions
Sustainable trends it will be more and more apply in several areas and the creative economic focused on the sustainable tourism area provides opportunities for the development of projects providing cultural diversity and social inclusion of the communities.
