This article aims to present environmental certifications and seals as one of the solutions for sustainability in civil construction, aiming to reduce the impacts caused to the environment and improve the preservation of nature.
Relevance / originality
Civil construction has a fundamental role in the economic and social development of a country, being responsible for inserting thousands of people into the job market, but allied to this, it is undeniable that it is the main responsible for the degradation.
Methodology / approach
The methodology of this research was centered on a bibliographical research that initially used the theoretical foundation based on the readings of authors who discuss the subject of this work.
Main results
Understand and have knowledge about the measures that must be implemented, aiming to minimize the effects caused to the environment in such a way that it can guarantee a sustainable world for future generations.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
In the above context, the aim is to present environmental certifications in the context of civil construction, so that companies can change the way they manage their works throughout Brazil, making the sector more sustainable and balanced with the environment.
Social / management contributions
The certifications and ecological seals emerged with the aim of certifying institutions that proved to work and build in a sustainable way without harming the environment in various aspects, and from that, several certifications with different parameters were created.
