Resumo

O presente artigo tem como intuito dar a conhecer a Indústria 4.0 assim como a sua relação com a Lean Manufacturing, isto é, como e onde é aplicada, e que benefícios poderá trazer para a empresa.

Tendo em conta que este estudo agrega os principais resultados e conclusões de outros autores sobre o tema, o mesmo permite ter um conhecimento atualizado e o mais completo possível sobre a indústria 4.0 e os seus benefícios.

A presenterevisão sistemática da literatura, foi elaborada recorrendo-se à base de dados literária Scopus, com osseguintestermos de pesquisa: (TITLE-ABS-KEY ("Industry 4.0") AND TITLE-ABS-KEY ("lean manufacturing") ) AND (LIMIT-TO(DOCTYPE, "ar")) AND (LIMIT-TO(SUBJAREA , "BUSI" )) AND (LIMIT-TO(LANGUAGE, "English")).

A integração das práticas lean com a indústria 4.0, é uma vantagem que permite as empresas, padronizar os seus processos, criar um ambiente com custos reduzidos e sem necessidade de intervenção humana, reduzindo os recursos humanos e consequentementeproblemas associados aos mesmos.

A partir dos benefícios da integração das duas metodologias, é possível fortalecer a investigação deste tema e permitir que futuros estudos integrem os resultados da mesma nas suas pesquisas, possibilitando uma base sólida de conhecimento para futuros desenvolvimentos.

Com o estudo da Indústria 4.0 e sua relação com a Lean Manufacturing procura-se, obter informações e conhecimentos úteis para as empresas, assegurando benefícios não só internamente, como a todos os níveis de performance empresarial, resultando em melhores resultados.

This article aims to raise awareness on Industry 4.0 as well as its relation with Lean Manufacturing, that is, how and where it is applied, and what benefits it can bring to the company.

Bearing in mind that this study brings together the main results and conclusions of other authors on the subject, it allows for a knowledge as up-to-date and as complete as possible about industry 4.0 and its benefits.

This systematic literature review was prepared using the Scopus literary database, with the following search terms: (TITLE-ABS-KEY ("Industry 4.0") AND TITLE-ABS-KEY ("lean manufacturing") AND ( LIMIT-TO(DOCTYPE, "ar")) AND (LIMIT-TO(SUBJAREA , "BUSI" )) AND (LIMIT-TO(LANGUAGE, "English")).

The integration of lean practices with industry 4.0 is an advantage that allows companies to standardize their processes, create an environment with reduced costs and without the need for human intervention, reducing human resources and consequently the problems associated with them.

From the benefits of the integration of these two methodologies, it is possible to strengthen the investigation of this area and allow future studies to integrate its results in their research, providing a solid base of knowledge for future developments.

The study of Industry 4.0 and its relation with Lean Manufacturing seeks to obtain useful information and knowledge for companies, ensuring benefits not only internally, but also at all levels of business performance, resulting in more favorable outcomes.
