Study goals
This research aims to propose Design Thinking integrated to a companie’s pre-incubation model as a methodology for entrepreneurial education with a focus on higher education.
Relevance / originality
Given the importance of entrepreneurship, we have entrepreneurial education as a driver of benefits. However, the challenge is that several studies indicate that traditional teaching methods are not the most qualified. It is necessary to think of methods that address their specificities
Methodology / approach
An analysis was made in the Bachelor of Fashion Design at the Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Analyzed the Pedagogical Project of the Course and the teachers' perception. After results from the literature, it was proposed to integrated Design Thinking with pre-incubation.
Main results
The proposed model enables an entrepreneurial education methodology that, while having Design Thinking as a basis, is optimized by the pre-incubation that directs the developed idea to a business modeling in order to take advantage of the emerging opportunity.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
Considering that entrepreneurship has been the catalyst for development in several territories, the discussion of methodologies that address their specificities is always important to be guided, also by their evolutionary and innovative character, which is constantly updated in a complex and fast
Social / management contributions
The case study carried out, even though it suggests a punctual and initial analysis of entrepreneurial education in universities, suggests that a similar analysis could be extended and carried out in other undergraduate courses as well.
