Study goals
This study aims to carry out a situational diagnosis of the initiatives developed at the Project Management Institute – Minas Gerais (PMI-MG) and propose actions for adherence to the UN objectives, in view of its values, principles and values.
Relevance / originality
The theme of sustainability is transversally inserted in all areas of knowledge and carrying out projects in a sustainable manner, in the light of the UN's SDGs, has been a determining factor for the success of organizations.
Methodology / approach
Carried out through a qualitative and exploratory research, the study was theoretically based on bibliographical references on the theme of projects and sustainability and used information provided by PMI-MG to achieve the proposed objective.
Main results
The results showed that only 25% of the projects had SDGs associated with their objectives, which indicates that, despite having this concern, PM/MG projects are still incipient in the context of actions towards sustainability.

The present work was limited to document analysis and it is considered as a possibility to improve the research the realization of perception researches with main actors Research could expand the analytical capacity of the results and it is recommended for continuing
Social / management contributions
The theme in question is of great contribution for the management to be able to dedicate itself to its social role, reviewing processes, life cycle of products and services, thinking about the protection of future generations through sustainability.
