Resumo

Apresentar um panorama dos estudos sobre o impacto que as fintechs estão causando na competitividade do mercado financeiro atual no Brasil.

O presente estudo é relevante para as instituições financeiras e para os profissionais da área por lhes apresentar a dimensão em que a transformação tecnológica já vem afetando seu ambiente.

Optou-se por realizar uma revisão bibliométrica da literatura existente, nas bases de dados SPELL e SciELO, buscando-se a palavra-chave, “fintechs”, com filtro para trabalhos no período de 2014 a 2024, em português.

Observou-se um alto número de publicações com média a baixa relevância segundo a classificação Qualis CAPES, além de um aumento no interesse pelo assunto no período afetado pela Pandemia do COVID-19.

A presente pesquisa é relevante na medida em que fornece informações válidas acerca da produção de estudos e pesquisas sobre o assunto fintechs que, por ser um tema diretamente relacionado à tecnologia e inovação, está em constante mudança.

Ao apresentar um panorama dos estudos que abordam assuntos relacionados ao tema fintech permite-se que as empresas e os profissionais da área financeira consigam dimensionar os impactos dessa tecnologia e identificar o aumento no interesse e relevância do tema.

Present an overview of studies on the impact that fintechs are having on the competitiveness of the current financial market in Brazil.

This study is relevant for financial institutions and professionals in the field because it shows them the extent to which technological transformation is already affecting their environment.

It was decided to carry out a bibliometric review of the existing literature, in the SPELL and SciELO databases, searching for the keyword, “fintechs”, with a filter for works in the period from 2014 to 2024, in Portuguese.

A high number of publications with medium to low relevance was observed according to the Qualis CAPES classification, in addition to an increase in interest in the subject during the period affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This research is relevant in that it provides valid information about the production of studies and research on the subject of fintechs which, as it is a topic directly related to technology and innovation, is constantly changing.

By presenting an overview of studies that address issues related to the fintech theme, companies and professionals in the financial sector are able to measure the impacts of this technology and identify the increase in interest and relevance of the topic.
