Methodology / approach
Single case study, with a qualitative approach, with the collection of empirical data through two in-depth interviews (Industrial Director and PPC Manager), systematic participant observation and documentary research. The empirical data were subjected to content analysis.
Main results
The results highlighted the challenges of adopting Industry 4.0 technologies, from the perspective of technical and economic feasibility, as well as potential environmental benefits, given that the company does not have an adequate monitoring system for the results generated by these technologies.
