Study goals
This technical report aims to analyze the innovation policy of a public ICT, in order to understand the functioning and the actual implementation of the innovation policy.
Relevance / originality
Mechanisms were sought to maintain and improve the implementation of the recent innovation policy of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), seeking to make it more efficient and effective.
Methodology / approach
The methodology used was the case study, with data collection intermediated through semi-structured interviews. Secondary data were also collected, obtained from the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), and a literature review was carried out, enabling the study.
Main results
A technical report is presented that brings the analysis of the data collected, identifying problems and suggesting relevant solutions for the ICT studied. It was possible to visualize the form of structuring a public ICT, as well as its achievements for society.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The technical report used concepts of innovation, technological innovation nucleus and Company-University interaction, exploring primary and secondary data obtained in the research, considering possibilities of alternative practices for a useful result in relation to the innovation policy in the ICT.
Social / management contributions
It was possible to verify an institution in the process of improvement, having an innovation policy in the implementation phase. Questions were raised regarding the approximation of society with the institution, either through partnerships or promotion.
