Abstract
The research aims to analyze the organizational culture in a long-stay institution for the elderly and how relationships can influence the quality of care. This is a case study research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, with an exploratory and descriptive level, having as instruments a structured questionnaire applied to 81 employees of the Institution, a structured form applied to 06 elderly residents in the service and a semi-structured interview with the Manager. The results reveal that the elderly residents evaluate the institutional services as good, emphasizing the cooperative and collaborative environment, however, they emphasize the importance of new referrals and improvements to the Human Resources dimension, mainly for the continuous professional development and training of employees, the which implies new, more adequate and innovative care responses. As a contribution, from the findings, a framework with better management practices and care with care can be built.
