Study goals
This study aims to exemplify and examine behaviors and values related to information in Information Technology sectors advocated in the Information Orientation (IO) perspective of Marchand, Kettinger, and Rollins.
Relevance / originality
It identifies behaviors and values related to information integrity, transparency of information use, information sharing, and information proactivity.
Methodology / approach
Initially, it was done through cross-translations. In a second step, a questionnaire was prepared with twenty-two questions extracted from the book Information Orientation, and the same questions were made available on Google Forms. The questionnaire uses a seven-point Likert-type scale.
Main results
This is a descriptive work of quantitative character through a survey, for which 580 managers, leaders, supervisors of small, medium, and large companies were invited to which 108 responded.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
Descriptive statistics was employed to analyze the data raised and for this purpose SmartPLS
3. Version 3.29 software was used.
Social / management contributions
The results observed in this study show that there is correlation with the observed dimensions and greater efficiency in the execution of services and creation of user products.
