The purpose of this article is justified, with the proposal to expose the evolution (conceptual and managerial) on the understanding of the digital transformation process and business models based on the TAM Model and its evolution.

This study highlights paths and implications that can help organizations review their management processes, in an environment characterized by rapid and profound innovations in the field of communication and information technologies.
Methodology / approach
This article was developed in the format of a theoretical essay. For this purpose, the analysis of the TAM Model was carried out, as well as its evolution, having as guiding principles the digital transformation and the business environment.
Main results
This conceptual paper made possible to highlight businesses digital transformation based on the evolution of TAM Model. It was identified that models derived from TAM converge in pointing out external, organizational and behavioral factors in the direction of digital transformation.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
Technology, as well as the precepts of digital transformation, act as means for the most adequate definition for innovative business models, which must primarily be directed and centered on generating value for customers.
Social / management contributions
The relevance of focusing on customers is verified in this study. It is essential to identify and meet requirements and, in particular, the expectations arising from the perception and desires of customers for the proper digital definition and business model.
