Study goals
Investigate the evolution of the internationalization of the company Chilli Beans, understanding the strategic change and the performance obtained in this process.
Relevance / originality
The research uses Pettigrew's model of strategic change associated with the phenomenon of internationalization, a modus operandi that is not common in the international business literature and the company has not yet been studied using this methodology.
Methodology / approach
The research is a case study, qualitative and descriptive. Data collection took place in 2023, using content analysis with the categories: context, content, process and performance.
Main results
It was possible to understand that in the process of internationalization of Chilli Beans, the strategic changes that the company took in the middle of the process, meant that the organization could, in 2023, be present in different countries, on different continents.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
A theoretical contribution was the Pettigrew model association (context, content and process) of the performance dimension, as well as a methodological contribution with the use of this model in researches on the internationalization process.
Social / management contributions
Based on this first research in the literature on the internationalization of Chilli Beans in a general, evolutionary and current way, businessmen and managers in the field can take advantage of the content presented here to support their strategic internationalization decisions.
