Study goals
This paper aims to discuss, based on literature mapping, the usage of advanced analytics (artificial intelligence and machine learning) in project management.
Relevance / originality
This research addresses a growing theme involving several uses of advanced project management analysis, organizing these uses into factors.
Methodology / approach
The method adopted in this study is the Systematic Literature Review, procedures used to analyze 241 articles. The qualitative synthesis were composed by 32 studies.
Main results
13 project management factors were identified that may be impacted by advanced analysis. These findings were subsidized for four proposals on reflexes of advanced project management analysis, highlighting the contributions to areas of project performance, sustainability and megaprojects.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The topic has been growing in the number of scientific publications and in the number of citations, but there are not as many applications as the organization of areas of knowledge that are formed by the development of advanced analytics.
