Relevance / originality
Identifying a set of competencies and how the literature defines them is an important step in understanding which areas a project manager should develop in.
Methodology / approach
Through a systematic literature review, we analyzed 67 articles from the Web of Science and Scopus databases.
Main results
We identified ten skills of the project manager in the literature that have greater focus and intensity given by the authors analyzed in this literature review.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The article contributes to the mapping of competences that the authors show as relevant to the project manager.
Social / management contributions
A relevant aspect that we need to emphasize is the importance of the project manager to be multiskill, this is what allows him to have greater flexibility of allocation in projects. These are preferred professionals when compared to others.
