Study goals
This article aims to understand which terms are related to project learning and how this topic is currently being discussed. For that, we made a survey in the Scopus database, considering the main journals in the Project Management area. The study started from a bibliometric analysis, using 256 articles as a reference. After elaborating an exploratory factor analysis, we arrived at five factors, thus indicating research fronts, such as: project learning and knowledge management, knowledge sharing and project learning, innovation and management of the learning process, knowledge and learning based on projects and variations in the application of learning and performance management. As a result, we identified that the terms: individual learning, learning between projects and learning in project-based organizations, have been well discussed by researchers in the last 10 years. With regard to contribution, we understand that these themes help companies to understand their relationship with learning in projects, avoiding possible failures in this process. Therefore, we believe that it is important to seek a better understanding of how the learning process occurs in project-based organizations and how these organizations benefit from this learning, since there is a simultaneous allocation of human resources in multiple projects.
