Study goals
To find literature evidences about the Digital Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (DEE).
Relevance / originality
There is a significant gap in the conceptualization of entrepreneurship in the digital age, integrating two well-established concepts: the Digital Ecosystem (DE) and the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (EE), all inserted in a systemic context and based in intersection of four abiotic entities Digital User Citizenship, Digital Technology Entrepreneurship, Digital Multi-sided Platform, and Digital Infrastructure Governance.
Methodology / approach
We conducted a bibliometric co-citation and coupling study.
Main results
The major findings showed us that there is no consensus regarding the concept of Digital Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (DEE), although the dimensions highlighted by the initial literature perspective can be used to conceptualize DEE. Even though there are evidences in the literature about the subjects Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (EE) and Digital Ecosystem (DE) and its intersection, the statistical analysis does not connect them. To advance this analysis, we suggest a future brief summary of literature for check the possibility of this approach in the digital age.
