This study aims to aims to understand what are the innovations that the technologies of Industry 4.0 bring to the automotive industry.
Relevance / originality
With the emergence of Industry 4.0, digital transformations are happening faster, bringing new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, cloud computing (CC), Cyber-physical systems (CPS) and intelligence artificial (AI), which convert in innovations for the society. Automotive companies, in turn, have sought to use these technologies to improve their performance and seek competitive advantages in the market.

The results point to a greater attention in researching process innovations aimed at production, as well as organizational innovations, aimed at businesses practices and external relations.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
This study used as a method the systematic review of the literature to identify what is the existing literature related to the Technologies 4.0 and the types of innovation originated from these technologies in the automotive industry, pointing also what are the gaps for future researches.
Social / management contributions
This paper identified the most researched Industry 4.0 Technologies and what are the innovations generated by these technologies in the automotive industry, mainly the innovations in the production processes and in the organizations' environment practices, indicating how the organizations are using these technologies to remain competitive in the market.
