Main results
Analyzing the age group of the analysis units, it was possible to locate the senior entrepreneurs, although no study has dealt exclusively with entrepreneurs aged 50 or over. The types of learning presented in the articles that contain entrepreneurs over fifty years old are: Learning through failure, informal learning and social learning. Although all studies include individuals over fifty in the samples, the generalized results do not allow the extraction of details about their modes of learning, making it difficult to identify how they learn entrepreneurship. The absence of these studies also makes it difficult to include the senior entrepreneur in the entrepreneurship debate.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
the learning of senior entrepreneurs transcends the frontier of experiential learning, claiming the exploration of other learning modalities such as intergenerational learning.
Social / management contributions
it contributes with new strategic perspectives of inclusion and interaction of the senior entrepreneur in the socioeconomic context.
