Study goals
The main objective of the article is to identify the main elements for prioritizing projects that organizations can assess from the stage of maturity and readiness to access technologies related to industry 4.0.
Relevance / originality
This work provides, through the evaluation of maturity models and readiness models, the identification of the main elements for decision making in the prioritization of projects related to Industry 4.0.
Methodology / approach
Systematic literature review, combining bibliometry with content analysis and network analysis with the aid of Vosviewer Software.
The search in databases resulted in 10,037 documents, application of filters resulting in 283 documents related to the theme, and after analysis in 31 documents containing models of maturity and readiness for use in this article.
Main results
From the content analysis of the existing works, a research gap was identified in the maturity models and readiness models available until 2019. The models do not present explicit reports regarding their suitability regarding the prioritization of projects in the implementation of the industry 4.0. Based on this survey, it is believed that current models still do not sufficiently address the identified gap and that more research is needed.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The models do not present explicit reports regarding their suitability regarding the prioritization of projects in the implementation of industry 4.0
Social / management contributions
To present the results of the study, a table was created with all the studies analyzed in order to summarize the study done as can be seen in Figure 9 and Figure 10.
The figures present the main elements related to the maturity and readiness models related to the adoption of enabling technologies in industry 4.0.
For future work this research can be considered to build a comprehensive prioritization model, combining theoretical and empirical studies, research with specialists in comparison with case studies and thus obtain greater security and solidity in future studies.
