Study goals
This article aims to identify aspects related to the functioning and characteristics of CREDMEI, a program to simplify access to financial products and services for the Individual Microentrepreneur (IME), which aims to facilitate and reduce the bureaucracy of the offer intermediation by registered financial institutions.

Recently authorized through MDIC Ordinance No. 1976, of November 29, 2018, this is an innovative theme.
Methodology / approach
This study has an exploratory character with a qualitative approach and research design that combines bibliographic sources with secondary and documentary data with primary data, specifically from legislation and official information, primarily formal.
Main results
The development of the CREDMEI program, specific for registration and access to financial services, microcredit and payments, suggests the contribution to economic development, especially at a time when almost 40% of the total active companies in the country are IMEs. The program already operates throughout the national territory and a reasonable number of financial institutions registered for the provision of financial services.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
With the exploratory effort to compile data hitherto dispersed on the subject, it is expected that future researchers will direct new perspectives as soon as the statistics on the program's results are available to the scientific community.
Social / management contributions
This is a digital transformation initiative to promote coordination between the government and financial institutions, meeting the requirements of Article 57 of Complementary Law 123 of 2006, which establishes requirements for the Federal Executive Branch to propose measures to improve access to micro and small companies. financial and credit solutions.
