Study goals
The objective of this article is to present the results of the evaluation of the process management practices of a Premium oil and gas accessories factory, using a group of observable criteria and variables to assess the maturity of processes.
Relevance / originality
A literature review was carried out on the themes of process management and process maturity assessment, and the assessment model to be used was defined. The observable criteria and indicators of the model to be used were adapted to the company.
Methodology / approach
The research universe was defined as the set of collaborators who work directly or indirectly with its processes. In the study, a convenience sample was used, consisting of seventy-six employees.
Main results
They were divided into two parts: strengths and opportunities for improvement: analysis and improvement, knowledge, training, change management and strategic alignment. Management practices, people management, process manager, information technology, encouragement of innovation, stakeholders, leadership and satisfaction.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The research was classified as applied, descriptive because it aims to describe the characteristics of a given population and establish relationships between the variables, and it is quantitative because it uses statistical resources and techniques. The survey was classified as a survey.
Social / management contributions
The survey data were collected using an instrument to assess the maturity of process management practices validated in previous surveys carried out with companies in the oil and gas area and adapted to the company's specificities.
