general objective to analyze the performance indicators for the development of evaluation processes applied to 9th grade students of Elementary School II
Relevance / originality
Large-scale assessment, carried out through standardized instruments of national application, is one of the most used tools to understand and monitor the situation of educational systems.
Methodology / approach
As methodological procedures, it used descriptive, bibliographical, field and documentary research, with a qualitative approach. The instruments applied was a questionnaire with open and closed questions using the interview
The results show that the investigated school works with the results of the Prova Brasil/Saeb at the beginning of the school year, through a project prepared by the Teachers of that class based on the diagnosis of the results/performance of the Students
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The Prova Brasil is seen as an external measurer of the school's performance under investigation and, therefore, they consider it important and is guaranteed in the School's Pedagogical Political Project (PPP).
Social / management contributions
The Prova Brasil is also used as a parameter in the preparation of the school's annual plan, which is a document that contains goals, objectives and strategies to improve results for subsequent years.
