Study goals
To report the experience of developing a Technical-Technological Product (TTP) to face the problem of lack of information about the importance of health education practices on exclusive breastfeeding (EBF).
Relevance / originality
Accessible products It provided the service with more constancy, dedication, proactivity and involvement of its professionals, residents and academics, culminating in the social contribution of guaranteeing women the right to breastfeed successfully.
Methodology / approach
This is an applied, descriptive research, of the experience report type, on the importance of practices aimed at the production of informative and educational materials with an approach to breastfeeding techniques, in addition to the legal issues that protect women in the
Main results
A booklet and video translated into Libras was designed with detailed guidelines on breastfeeding techniques, how to hold the baby, the correct latches and useful maneuvers, as well as information on the legislation that supports mothers during the breastfeeding period.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The interdisciplinary approach of the project, involving health professionals and students from different areas of the PPGPI/UFRN and the use of agile methodologies, reinforced the effectiveness of the actions in teaching innovation and their relevance to society
Social / management contributions
By adopting these practices, HUAB involved the entire team of professionals and academics so that they could provide information about the importance of EBF, offer adequate support to mothers during the breastfeeding process, and provide advice in an accessible and effective way.
