Study goals
To describe the process of conception, development, implementation, and evaluation of the São Pietro Group Leadership Development Program, highlighting how the initiative sought to align managerial competencies with the strategic, operational, and cultural challenges arising from the organization’s rapid expansion in 2024.
Relevance / originality
This experience illustrates an innovative model of university–industry collaboration, integrating scientific knowledge and practical demands to structure leadership development solutions with direct applicability to rapidly growing organizations, particularly in the healthcare sector, while maintaining adherence to governance principles and organizational culture.
Methodology / approach
A diagnostic process involving semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and document analysis informed a hybrid program with 50 hours of shared training and 25 hours of individual coaching, delivered by professors and doctoral students using active learning methods and interactive digital tools.
Main results
The program achieved an average participation rate of 91% and an overall satisfaction score of 9.2/10, enhancing cultural alignment, strengthening leadership competencies, and promoting greater integration among units. It also generated inputs to improve people management processes and institutional strategies.

The experience confirms the effectiveness of hybrid and collaborative methodologies for developing leadership competencies, demonstrating how the integration of academic practices with organizational demands can enhance learning and sustain competency-based management in dynamic and challenging environments.
