Study goals
This theoretical essay aims to develop an integrative conceptual framework that articulates the components of the Presage-Process-Product (3P's) Model with elements of the Value Co-creation Model in higher education.
Relevance / originality
The originality lies in integrating theoretical traditions that rarely interact: Educational Psychology and Service-Dominant Logic. The study addresses a gap by explicitly linking learning processes with the dynamics of value creation.
Methodology / approach
This is a conceptual and integrative theoretical essay. The construction of the model and its propositions was systematically guided by the principles for developing conceptual contributions outlined in the 7C framework by Hollebeek et al. (2024).
Main results
The main result is a conceptual model that integrates learning and value co-creation into a dynamic and interrelated cycle. Additionally, the study presents a matrix with nine propositions that systematically explore the intersections between the models.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The proposal offers a framework for understanding value co-creation and learning in higher education. Methodologically, the integrative matrix and the application of the 7C framework provide a roadmap for future contributions.
Social / management contributions
It offers a framework for pedagogical management to align the planning, execution, and evaluation of participatory educational practices. It guides the design of curricula, assessments, and faculty development to enhance student engagement and the quality of higher education.
