Study goals
To develop and validate a self-diagnostic tool for transformational leadership, based on the four classic dimensions, applicable to leaders in dynamic contexts, aiming to strengthen innovative, adaptive, and collaborative practices, especially in social impact and entrepreneurial organizations.
Relevance / originality
The study translates abstract constructs of transformational leadership into a practical tool, validated through Design Science Research, expanding applicability in dynamic and socially impactful contexts, simultaneously contributing to theoretical advancement and evidence-based management development.
Methodology / approach
Design Science Research was adopted in six stages, integrating qualitative and quantitative approaches to develop, instantiate and evaluate a digital artifact for self-diagnosis in transformational leadership, applied to 15 leaders from different sectors, with descriptive analysis of the responses obtained.
Main results
The artifact demonstrated clarity, simplicity, and applicability in multiple contexts, favoring self-reflection and diagnosis of transformational competencies. Distinct leadership profiles were identified, reinforcing its potential for development programs, organizational innovation, and strengthening collaborative practices in dynamic environments.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The study operationalizes transformational leadership into a measurable instrument, validated by Design Science Research, expanding the dialogue between theory and practice and offering a replicable model for research and interventions in innovation, leadership development, and management in dynamic organizational contexts.
Social / management contributions
It provides an accessible tool for diagnosing and developing transformational leadership skills, strengthening innovative and collaborative practices in social impact organizations, supporting managers in adapting to dynamic environments, and promoting decisions aligned with strategic vision and team engagement.
