Study goals
Analyze how disciplinary management in public and military organizations is discussed in the scientific literature, using the experience of the General Internal Affairs Office of the Military Fire Brigade of Santa Catarina (CBMSC) as reference.
Relevance / originality
The study highlights the importance of institutional discipline for governance and transparency in the public sector, exploring theoretical and practical gaps that remain poorly articulated, especially in the disciplinary context of the CBMSC.
Methodology / approach
This is a bibliometric, quantitative, and descriptive study conducted in Web of Science, SciELO, and Scopus databases, between June and July 2025, in three languages, with analysis based on Lotka’s, Bradford’s, and Zipf’s classical bibliometric laws.
Main results
Findings indicate that scientific production on disciplinary management is fragmented, with isolated authors and weak collaborative networks, concentrated mainly in English-speaking countries, revealing significant gaps that should be further explored.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The research expands the understanding of disciplinary management under General Systems Theory and classical bibliometric laws, providing conceptual and methodological basis for future investigations in this field.
Social / management contributions
The study suggests ways to improve disciplinary processes in CBMSC, strengthening ethics, governance, and innovation in public service, and offering insights for more transparent and effective management policies.
