Resumo

O estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a relação entre o Plano de Desenvolvimento Institucional (PDI) e o Planejamento Estratégico (PE) em uma Instituição Federal de Ensino Superior (IFES), destacando como esses instrumentos se articulam na gestão acadêmica e administrativa.

A relevância da pesquisa está em revelar a necessidade de integrar o caráter normativo e avaliativo do PDI às práticas gerenciais do PE.

A metodologia foi qualitativa, de caráter exploratório e descritivo, baseada em análise documental e fundamentação teórica sobre gestão estratégica e gestão estratégica pública.

Os resultados demonstram que a aproximação entre PDI e PE fortalece a coerência de objetivos, metas e indicadores, potencializando a governança institucional.

Do ponto de vista teórico-metodológico, a pesquisa contribui ao propor uma leitura integrada desses instrumentos, aproximando conceitos de gestão privada às demandas da esfera pública.

O estudo também contribui ao propor uma visão integrada desses instrumentos, como um caminho para uma administração mais transparente, eficiente e alinhada às necessidades da comunidade acadêmica.

The study aimed to evaluate the relationship between the Institutional Development Plan (IDP) and Strategic Planning (SP) at a Federal Higher Education Institution (IFES), highlighting how these instruments interconnect in academic and administrative management.

The research's relevance lies in revealing the need to integrate the normative and evaluative nature of the IDP with the SP's management practices.

The methodology was qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive, based on document analysis and theoretical foundations in strategic management and public strategic management.

The results demonstrate that the integration of IDP and SP strengthens the coherence of objectives, goals, and indicators, enhancing institutional governance.

From a theoretical-methodological point of view, the research contributes by proposing an integrated reading of these instruments, bringing concepts of private management closer to the demands of the public sphere.
