Main results
The Exploratory Factor Analysis (AFE) resulted in three factors: Innovative Projects, Technological Uncertainty in SMEs and Performance in Project Management; which indicate emerging elements in the relationship of uncertainty and management of innovative projects. It turns out that the existing trend is linked by behavioral, collaborative aspects, expansion of limits in SMEs, learning and transferring knowledge with members of the project team and efficient project schedule; and that such notes still demand research and development in the area of Project Management.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
The study points to an existing trend in research on common topics, but from new perspectives, including, for example, innovative projects in SMEs and the uncertainty of project team members, pointing to the need for effective scope management. It is observed, therefore, that such direction is not something new, but habitual in project management, but that scholars emphasize that it must be perfected aiming at the reduction of uncertainty.
Social / management contributions
From a practical perspective, it reveals new strategies and techniques linked to the association of project management practices with those of other areas such as management of uncertainties, changes and operations. In addition, new forms of execution of execution have a positive influence on the project and are being applied, such as the performance of the project team, emphasizing as essential soft skills, communication, leadership and technological skills in complex environments. There is a discussion on the elaboration of the schedule as one of the most important stages of project planning, even though studies have been developed, they point to a study trend factor.
