Abstract
The objective was to analyze the scientific production of Knowledge Management Models (KM) for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) regarding the articles indexed in Scopus database from 2010 to 2019. The adoption of knowledge-oriented strategies is fundamental for organizations, and in HEIs it proves to be substantial. These organizations find themselves involved with knowledge in an epistemic and organic way. The transmission of knowledge is at the heart of HEIs. The research was quantitative, descriptive, carried out in scientific articles, with full text, and 83 articles were retrieved. After reading the abstract, 54 were considered relevant. By reading the text, 16 articles, out of the 54, formed the corpus for categorized analysis of the KM model in HEIs. The articles were analyzed in three-year terms: 2010-2012 (12 publications), 2013-2015 (24 publications), 2016-2018 (17 publications); in 2019 one article was published. The theme of KM models in HEIs has not grown exponentially, as expected. From 2017 to 2019 only 10 articles were published. The results and analyzes show dispersion of literature, since many authors publish only one article. There are several titles of journals and proceedings of congresses that present this literature, with dispersion as to the approaches and areas of interest of KM models in HEIs. This literature is under construction, therefore, studies on the topic are opportune, for both theoretical and social contributions and for management. People management, information and communication technology, and projects are closely related to KM in HEIs.
