Study goals
Analyze and understand the work process flow of calculators, developed in the Directorate of Calculations and Expertise of the Attorney General of the Municipality of Belo Horizonte. Seek to identify the impact suffered by the sector, with the increased demand for calculations and analyzes arising from the increase in the number of Electronic Legal Proceedings and Physical Legal Proceedings. Seek to apply the process of continuous improvement through process reengineering aiming at increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
Relevance / originality
Public organizations have sought to adapt their organizational structure and internal processes, improving their management models and optimizing their work systems in order to improve the quality of their services. Observing the worldwide trend of a State for Results, Public Administration has incorporated this bias in order to improve its performance. The adoption of Process Management and specifically the mapping of these the decision taken by the researchers to seek to increase the dynamics of workflows through an organizational and activities redesign.
Methodology / approach
Activities carried out by the entire team were mapped. A sample of 5 accountants out of a total of 22 people who answered the questionnaire who answered semi-structured individual interviews in order to identify bottlenecks and suggestions for improvement.
Main results
The mapping and standardization of processes are presented as a set of appropriate solutions in the optimization of resources, reduction of deadlines, providing products with quality and efficiency.
