Study goals
The objective of this research is to analyze the impacts of the application of people management subprocesses on the organizational productivity of a supermarket unit located in the interior of Pernambuco.
Relevance / originality
The study facilitates understanding of the interfaces between people management, productivity, and organizational sustainability in essential services. The perspective of rural areas broadens the discussion on dignified, healthy, and productive work in these organizations.
Methodology / approach
This study uses a qualitative, descriptive approach, conducted through a single case study. Data collection was conducted through a semi-structured interview with the local unit manager, providing a more comprehensive overview of the topic.
Main results
he results indicate progress in organizational structure, strategic alignment, and the socialization of new employees. However, there are weaknesses in recognition policies, continuous development, and the use of monitoring indicators, which negatively impact retention, motivation, and organizational climate.

The theoretical and methodological contributions highlight people management as a central axis of organizational strategies, demonstrating, through case studies, how its practices influence institutional performance and are interconnected with the regional context analyzed.
