Investigar se o ChatGPT é capaz de extrair, calcular corretamente, comparar e interpretar indicadores financeiros de empresas do setor energético de forma confiável e útil para a tomada de decisões financeiras.

A evolução dos modelos de IA baseados em Processamento de Linguagem Natural (NLP) é um tópico contemporâneo em destaque e que deve ser analisado do ponto de vista das ciências contábeis.

Foram elaborados Prompts para que fossem extraídos, calculados e comparados indicadores financeiros de três empresas do segmento energético, relativos a três exercícios, e foram confrontados com os cálculos manuais dos autores.

O ChatGPT conseguiu apresentar com precisão a maioria dos indicadores solicitados, assim como apresentou interpretações condizentes com a literatura especializada, mas houveram problemas na interpretação da termos não explícitos nas demonstrações experimentadas evidenciando a necessidade de utilização de comandos tecnicamente claros.

Reforça a importância de dominar a elaboração de prompts e conhecer profundamente os fundamentos técnicos dos indicadores financeiros no momento da utilização do ChatGPT para extração, cálculo e interpretação de indicadores contábeis.

O ChatGPT pode democratizar o acesso a interpretações técnicas ágeis desde que bem instruído, mas o modelo não substitui o julgamento profissional, especialmente na análise de eventos não recorrentes, interpretações qualitativas e considerações estratégicas mais amplas.
