Study goals
To propose and validate an integrative framework and method for the joint application of Business Analytics (BA) and Competitive Intelligence (CI) in the context of predictive market analysis, within a multinational group in the steel industry.
Relevance / originality
There is a noted scarcity of research on the joint application of Business Analytics and Competitive Intelligence techniques. In this sense, this work contributes to the current literature and to industry professionals by presenting a structured and practical framework and method.
Methodology / approach
This work is a qualitative study in which a practical framework and method, both based on the current literature, are presented. Validation is performed through semi-structured interviews, analyzed with the technique of Content Analysis of Bardin (2016).
Main results
This paper proposes a framework and a method for the joint application of Business Analytics (BA) and Competitive Intelligence (CI), grounded in the literature and validated through interviews. The proposed tools facilitate the application of predictive analysis techniques and are generalizable.

This paper strengthens the current literature by proposing an integrative framework for Business Analytics and Competitive Intelligence. The developed method is manager-oriented and structured in steps to assist with implementation, facilitating its application in environments with low data maturity.
