As análises, conduzidas no Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny, examinaram produção científica, fontes, autores, colaboração, estrutura intelectual e organização conceitual.
To examine how TL has been theoretically mobilized within Responsible Management Education (RME) and Sustainability Management Education (SME), mapping the intellectual structure, conceptual organization, and thematic development of this emerging field.
Although TL has been increasingly mobilized within RME/SME, this literature remains fragmented across research communities and agendas. This study advances the debate by systematically examining its intellectual structure, conceptual organization, and thematic development, dimensions not yet integrated in the existing literature.
A bibliometric science mapping analysis was conducted on 52 articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science and selected according to PRISMA 2020. Analyses conducted using Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny examined scientific production, sources, authors, collaboration, intellectual structure, and conceptual organization.
The findings reveal marked growth since 2019, an intellectual structure strongly anchored in Mezirow, and fragmented collaboration networks. Within RME/SME, TL is conceptually relevant yet thematically dispersed, being mobilized across diverse educational agendas as a shared theoretical foundation.
The study demonstrates that TL functions as a shared theoretical foundation within RME/SME, spanning diverse educational agendas. Methodologically, it integrates intellectual structure, collaboration networks, and thematic organization to characterize the configuration and development of this emerging field.
The findings guide business schools, program coordinators, and educators in integrating TL into curriculum design by combining critical reflection, experiential learning, sustainability competencies, and leadership development to prepare managers capable of addressing complex sustainability challenges.
