To propose a conceptual framework that articulates the OKR Canvas and the Life Cycle Canvas (LCC) Initiation Screen as a single visual management system, in which each strategic initiative recorded in the OKR Canvas is designed as an executable project.
The study articulates, in an unprecedented way, two currents that evolve in parallel the OKR Canvas and the Life Cycle Canvas proposing an integration not yet systematized in the literature It fills a methodological gap between the declared strategic goal and project, visually.
Qualitative research, of theoretical and conceptual nature, aimed at building a framework, in line with the conceptual theory-building methods proposed by Meredith (1993) and the typology of conceptual articles systematized by Jaakkola (2020), organized into five sequential stages.
The OKR-LCC Canvas Framework was proposed, articulating the OKR Canvas as an initiative-prioritization matrix and the LCC Initiation Screen as the design of the executable project, in which each prioritized initiative is converted into a strategic project linked to the corresponding Objective.
The framework extends the single-screen logic to the articulation between two previously disconnected instruments, advances Kaplan and Norton's (1996) diagnosis by proposing a concrete visual instrument for strategic translation, and expands the LCC by explicitly linking it to the project's strategic origin.
The framework offers strategic planning and project teams a single visual roadmap that reduces information loss between the defined goal and the executed project, facilitating communication between senior management and execution teams, and strengthening strategy execution overall.
