Study goals
This article aims to analyze the process of building a project at the Legislative Branch using the visual tool Life Cycle Canvas (LCC). To this end, it was chosen the project of preparation of the Competence-based Management of the internal auditors of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio Grande do Norte.
Relevance / originality
The relative absence of studies on the use of alternative methods in project management in Brazilian legislatures indicates the relevance of the present research
Methodology / approach
The analysis was done using the qualitative method, through the techniques of focus group and participant observation, and the interpretation involved content analysis.
Main results
The results revealed the adherence of the LCC model to the management of government projects, despite some study limitations.
Theoretical / methodological contributions
This work contributes to the application of new (visual) methodologies of project management, visual, in public organizations, a field of knowledge still little explored.
Social / management contributions
In practical terms, this work can contribute to a greater efficiency in public management, especially in the legislative branch.
